Spain’s Greenalia buys 502 MWp of photo voltaic initiatives in Texas

November 29 (Renewables Now) – Spanish renewables developer Greenalia introduced on Monday that it has acquired three utility-scale photo voltaic initiatives totalling 502 MWp in Texas.

The initiatives are the 265-MWp Donegal Photo voltaic, the 119-MWp Leitrim Photo voltaic and the 118-MWp Roscommon Photo voltaic. All three are in superior phases of improvement, with Greenalia planning to succeed in business operation date in early 2025.

No different particulars have been disclosed.

The acquisition is a part of the corporate’s plan to broaden within the US, the place it arrived two years in the past.

In 2021, Greenalia acquired an organization with a ready-to-build photo voltaic photovoltaic portfolio of 695 MWp, plus 385 MW of battery storage. This 12 months, the agency added 451 MW of photo voltaic initiatives to the bundle — Wensowitch, Ratcliff, Reis and Wittig, all of them in Texas.

The most recent acquisition boosted Greenalia’s photo voltaic pipeline within the US to shut to 1,700 GW, the corporate stated.
