Japan’s NGK invests in perovskite photo voltaic cell developer EneCoat

April 15 (Renewables Now) – Japanese ceramics firm NGK Insulators Ltd (TYO:5333) introduced lately that it has invested in EneCoat Applied sciences Co Ltd, a developer of perovskite photo voltaic cells that was spun off from Kyoto College in early 2018.

EneCoat develops perovskite photo voltaic cells with larger energy era effectivity and sturdiness. Furthermore, the agency seeks to create manufacturing course of applied sciences for bigger merchandise that may be applied in society, NGK mentioned in a press release.

The funding is a part of efforts to determine manufacturing applied sciences for enhancing the standard of perovskites in a drive to find methods to work with its personal storage batteries, NGK added.

The insulators producer didn’t disclose the worth of the funding it made.
