India’s Waaree Energies nabs USD 2.4bn of photo voltaic panel orders

Might 20 (Renewables Now) – Indian photo voltaic product maker Waaree Energies Ltd has been awarded USD 2.37 billion (EUR 2.24bn) price of contracts to ship bifacial photovoltaic (PV) panels, each domestically and overseas.

The offers will see the producer provide bifacial photo voltaic panels with capacities ranging between 540 Wp and 600 Wp, to be made utilizing M10 and M12 cells, an announcement confirmed on Thursday. The names of the purchasers and particulars about their tasks weren’t disclosed.

Mumbai-based Waaree Energies owns 4 GW photo voltaic modules manufacturing services in Surat, Chikhli, Tumb and Nandigram and plans so as to add a further 5 GW of producing capability by the top of 2022.
