Danish renewables developer European Vitality A/S has secured a constructing allow from the authorities in Sicily for what it says will turn out to be the largest photo voltaic farm in Italy – a 250-MW challenge close to Catania.
The corporate can be constructing the solar energy plant within the municipality of Vizzini with a powerful concentrate on sustainability. For example, it intends to implement a complete reforestation and biodiversity programme that covers 200 hectares of land and is evaluating options comparable to agrivoltaic methods.
Upon completion, the 250-MW photo voltaic park can be producing sufficient electrical energy to provide some 130,000 properties.
Alessandro Migliorini, Nation Supervisor of European Vitality Italia, acknowledged that the corporate will proceed to spend money on Italian renewables, primarily wind and photo voltaic. It has already constructed a lot of photo voltaic farms within the nation, together with the 130-MW Troia-project within the Apulia area.
