DSD buys 45-MW solar-plus-storage bundle in Massachusetts

February 8 (Renewables Now) – US photo voltaic power enterprise DSD Renewables introduced it had acquired a solar-plus-storage mission portfolio in southeastern Massachusetts from renewable power providers agency Borrego.

DSD stated it purchased six websites that can host 45 MW of group ground-mounted photo voltaic PV farms and 88 MWh of co-located battery storage programs. The most important and the smallest of the six amenities shall be situated in Freetown — one with 1.5 MW of photo voltaic and three.37 MWh of storage, whereas the second website will function a 12.9-MW photo voltaic farm and 26.6-MWh battery.

Development is slated to begin in 2023.

The portfolio is a part of the Photo voltaic Massachusetts Renewable Goal (SMART) Program, an incentive programme to advertise cost-effective photo voltaic growth throughout the state, DSD stated.
