Chevron JV plans anaerobic digester at California ranch

January 21 (Renewables Now) – A three way partnership between models of oil big Chevron Corp (NYSE:CVX) and waste options supplier Brightmark LLC plans to construct an anaerobic digestion (AD) facility at a ranch in California to supply renewable pure gasoline (RNG).

The JV, referred to as Brightmark RNG Holdings LLC, intends to assemble the anaerobic digester on the Vlot Calf Ranch and dairy farm in Chowchilla.

There, the ability will seize, clear and convert methane from manure into RNG. Different renewable merchandise to return from the ability embody recycled water, biofertiliser and digested dairy fibre.

The Vlot Calf Ranch mission is Brightmark’s largest RNG mission thus far and the primary one in its house state of California. It must be accomplished in 2023.
