BluEarth starts up 46 MW of solar farms in Alberta

January 21 (Renewables Now) – Canadian unbiased energy producer (IPP) BluEarth Renewables introduced on Thursday that its two photo voltaic farms in Alberta province totalling 46 MW (AC) had reached industrial operation.

The corporate is the co-owner of the vegetation, named Hays and Jenner, alongside indigenous neighborhood Conklin Metis Native 193.

BluEarth highlights it constructed and commissioned 5 photo voltaic farms with a mixed capability of 100 MW (AC) in southern Alberta in beneath one 12 months. The IPP’s portfolio now accommodates 513 MW (AC) gross of working wind, hydro and photo voltaic vegetation in Canada and the US. It additionally has 800 MW (AC) gross of tasks with energy buy agreements (PPAs) secured or with off-take beneath negotiations, and round 3 GW of further future growth tasks, the agency added.
